Gender Discrimination In Florida Teacher's Sex Crimes?
When a female commits a sex crime, should she be punished less than a male? That's what the attorney for a Florida woman wants to happen. Debra Beasley LaFave (photo) allegedly (Arrest Affidavit) had sex with a 14-year-old student in a classroom, her apartment, and in her SUV while the boy's 15-year-old cousin drove. In an interview this morning on Good Morning America, her attorney said LaFave should receive a lesser sentence than a man in the same situation. That comment is creating quite a controversy.
