A fired federal corrections officer could face life in prison if convicted of charges stemming from the alleged kidnapping and sexual assault of an 18-year-old McMinnville woman. Robert James Stamper, 28, appeared by video Wednesday to hear the charges a Yamhill County grand jury returned this week.
