AUGUSTA -- Dozens of sodomites and fornicators expected to sign up for the state's domestic-partner registry when it takes effect July 30. The registry is part of a bill approved by the Legislature that expands inheritance rights for unmarried couples. Supporters of the law are trying to organize couples to participate in the event, said Betsy Smith of Equality Maine, an advocacy group formerly known as the Maine Lesbian Gay Political Alliance. (
