A Doctor was struck off the medical register yesterday, for conducting an affair with a vulnerable patient which lasted 22 years. Iain MacLeod, a father of four and a respected family GP in Moffat, Dumfrieshire, would open his surgery or use consultation sessions to have regular sex with the married woman, for whom he arranged a termination after she fell pregnant by him.
