Reading Central Catholic school Priest James Gaffney molested girl in early 1990s, papers allege
Another lawsuit has been filed against the Allentown Catholic Diocese, this one by a Berks County woman who claims she was sexually abused by a priest while attending Reading Central Catholic High School. In papers filed Tuesday in Berks County Court, Diana L. Vojtasek, 30, of Blandon alleges the Rev. James Gaffney repeatedly molested her in his car and office at Reading Central Catholic, where he was vice principal and disciplinarian. The abuse began in 1990 and continued for two years, she says in the suit. Gaffney is the 11th diocesan priest accused of abuse in 13 lawsuits filed in Lehigh, Berks and Schuylkill counties since January. Gaffney is not in active ministry, according to the diocese, and remains on leave.Sponsored Links:
