Lawsuit filed in North Salem school sex abuse case

A federal civil rights lawsuit claims that North Salem school officials failed to report prior sexual misconduct by an elementary school teacher who was charged in February with sexually abusing a 10-year-old student. Former Pequenaconck Elementary School teacher Robert Gordon was charged Feb. 26 by state police with felony first-degree sexual abuse for allegedly touching the girl's breast. He resigned from the school district some time after his arrest. Posted by Editor at October 25, 2004 05:52 AM
