Mom of young teen in teacher sex case says no cavorting

MCMINNVILLE, Tenn. -- A Warren County woman says her son can't go to school after the arrest of a teacher accused of having sex with him. The woman -- not identified to protect the boy's identity -- says no matter what occurred between her 13-year-old son and physical education teacher Pamela Rogers Turner, the boy is the victim. The mother says eyewitness accounts that her son left basketball games with Turner are false. In an interview published in the Southern Standard newspaper in McMinnville, the woman said her son was closely supervised and Turner was a close family friend.
