The New Utopian Bible

New Bible Translation Wows Progressives
The New Utopian Translation of the Bible gets rave reviews from America's progressive theologians and 'clergy persons.' "This is going to be the mainline Bible," said the Rev. Fifi Futz, the Episcopal Church's first openly transgender bishop. "It's the first translation that makes explicit the implicit nuances of Bible verses. For the first time, readers will understand that 'Thou shalt not' is just another way of saying 'By all means, thou shalt.'" The chair of the New Utopian Translation's executive committee, retired federal judge Andy Nomian, explained: "The verses in the original Greek and Hebrew have penumbras and emanations invisible to those chuckleheads on the Christian Right," he said.
