Deputies are still searching for a Dundee Ridge Middle School teacher suspected of molesting two little girls. Deputies are concerned that Darryl Lynn Swygert, 50, of Winter Haven, may try to flee the country. After sheriff's deputies started investigating Swygert, he approached a travel agent at the end of June and asked for help buying a ticket to South Africa or Thailand. Swygert was hired as a math teacher on Aug. 2, 1999. He has been placed on administrative leave by the Polk County School District.
