Church Youth Leader Emos Parham Found Guilty Of Sex Abuse, Faces either probation or up to seven years in prison
ROCKFORD -- A former church youth leader was found guilty of aggravated criminal sexual abuse Friday morning. Emos Parham, 53, now faces either probation or up to seven years in prison and will have to register as a sex offender for the rest of his life. A longtime administrative assistant and youth leader at Saint Paul Church of God in Christ, Parham was arrested in July 2004 after the then-13-year-old victim told police he had been sexually abused by Parham. At the time of the arrest, Winnebago County Sheriff Dick Meyers said, “The victim confided in some friends who told some people at the church, who then went to the pastor, who urged them to report this incident to DCFS.” Full story...Editor's note: WWJD? Jesus would hang a millstone on a child molester's neck and toss him into the depths of the sea (Matt.18:5-6). Jesus also says, "If ye love me, keep my commandments." (John.14:15)
