Karate Teacher Arrested for Homosexual Crimes
A Karate teacher was freed Monday on $500,000 bail after arraignment on a 43-count indictment charging him with sex crimes involving students at his martial arts academy. Prosecutors revealed several new allegations against James Bonfiglio, 37, including charges that he twice videotaped himself "masturbating in the presence of three boys" between 9 and 10 years old in a bedroom at his parents' Ronkonkoma home. Bonfiglio was arrested Oct. 11 after a 13-year-old boy told his mom, and then cops, that the karate teacher had sexually abused him.
