Judge Won't Move Trial for Pair on Sex Assault of 2-Year-Old

CORPUS CHRISTI -- The case of a woman and her former boyfriend accused of physically and sexually assaulting her 2-year-old daughter will stay in Nueces County. District Judge Tom Greenwell on Friday denied a motion for a change of venue for Erica Friesenhahn, 23, and Benjamin Curcuru, 30, who face charges of aggravated sexual assault of a child and injury to a child. Greenwell instead granted a defense request to impose a gag order over the attorneys in the case, which now prevents them from discussing the case with the media. Read more...
