Technology Problems Plague Federal Sex Trial

BINGHAMTON, NY -- Technology failed Wednesday in the courtroom during the first full day of the federal sex case against Dean Sacco, 40, of Jersey City, N.J., and Linda O'Connor, 46, of Norwich. The pair is charged with sex trafficking, producing child pornography, and other offenses. Before the technological problems occurred, federal public defender Lisa Peebles, who represents O'Connor, summed up the defense she'll present. "The puzzle pieces in this case are from several different boxes and the prosecution is trying to jam them together," Peebles said. She said the case would consist of excuses for things the prosecution couldn't find and could be summed up in five words: sex, lies and no videotape."
