Victim Says Homophobia Still A Major Problem `But There's A Way to Heal Homophobia'

On the 10-year anniversary of one of the north state's most infamous hate crimes, Jason York says the homophobia that led to the killings of gay couple Gary Matson and Winfield Mowder is still alive and well. York, who married Jeramie Henderson in October before the passage of Proposition 8, walked to his car early Friday in his south Redding neighborhood to find homophobic slurs roughly scratched all over it.

Healing Homophobia
Whenever someone is quoted in the press using the word homophobe the application of this word is misused and confusing. Understanding the correct usage of this word will help identify people who are suffering from this affliction and as a result place them on the road to recovery.
