Adultery: Impeachment Panel Wants Detailed Answers On Sanford's Trip

A House panel taking up an impeachment resolution against Gov. Mark Sanford Tuesday said it wants detailed answers about the governor’s secret trip to Argentina last June. The committee, in its initial meeting, discussed whether to call witnesses or take sworn affidavits, meaning members of Sanford’s staff may have to recount the events that lead up the the governor’s disappearance. The commitee also voted to expand the scope of its review to consider the 37 ethics violations lodged against Sanford last week. Those charges stem from an investigation in to Sanford’s travel and campaign spending.
