Teacher Accused Of Molesting Godson Found Not Guilty
SAN DIEGO -- A South Bay elementary school teacher was acquitted Monday of charges she had sex with her underage godson, who was also one of her students. Jurors deliberated about four hours before finding Carmina Erica Lopez, 33, not guilty of 10 counts of committing a lewd act on a minor and one count of furnishing marijuana to a minor. Her godson, now 16, testified that she molested him while he was in sixth grade and that they had sex 40 to 50 times after that. The boy -- who lived with relatives after his mother abandoned him -- testified that the defendant would give him gifts, take him on trips and give him money.Click Here For The Full Story......
