Church of God in Christ Preacher Convicted of 1984 Rape
OWENSBORO, Ky. -- A former preacher has been sentenced to 20 years after a jury found him guilty of a first-degree rape committed in 1984. The Owensboro Messenger-Inquirer reports 77-year-old Prince Wilbert Woolfolk was charged with raping a 17-year-old girl in the office of the Seventh Street Church of God in Christ in Owensboro. According to testimony at trial, Woolfolk picked the victim up from her school under the pretense of talking to her about the choir. He took her to the church office, held her down on a desk and raped her. Days later, the victim tried to give herself an abortion with a coat hanger. The medical record from that hospital visit turned out to be a major piece of evidence in the trial. It took an Owensboro jury less than 90 minutes Friday to convict Woolfolk.Click Here For The Full Story......

Owensboro Preacher Found Guilty on Rape Charges
OWENSBORO, KY -- A jury finds a former Owensboro preacher guilty of raping a young church member more than 25 years ago. The commonwealth attorney says the same jury that convicted him recommended 77-year-old Prince Wilbert Woolfolk spend 20 years in prison. According to published reports, the 17-year-old's family didn't come forward earlier because they were prohibited from questioning a preacher under church rules. After the indictment, Woolfolk resigned from the Seventh Street Church of God in Christ in Owensboro and the Branch Street of God in Madisonville.
