Admitted Homosex Child Molester Given Reduced Sentence By Indiana Court Of Appeals
The Indiana Court of Appeals has reduced the sentence of a Lafayette man who admitted having sexual contact on several occasions with a young boy in his care. Last June, Nathan D. Hawkins, 30, was ordered to serve 15 years in prison and one year on probation following his guilty pleas to two counts of child molesting, a Class C felony. In a unanimous ruling issued Thursday, Indiana’s higher court found that the sentence was too harsh given Hawkins’ character — more specifically, that Hawkins had no prior criminal convictions; has a high school diploma; and had consistent work history.Click Here For The Full Story......
