Former Altar Boy Accuses Oak Harbor Priest Of Sexual Abuse
SEATTLE -- Another former altar boy has come forward to accuse a now-defrocked Oak Harbor priest of sexually abusing him 30 years ago. A 42-year-old former Whidbey Island resident has filed a civil lawsuit in King County Superior Court against the Seattle Archdiocese for alleged childhood sexual abuse he suffered at the hands of Father Barry Ashwell. Ashwell served as pastor of St. Augustine Church in Oak Harbor from 1978 to 2000. The Archdiocese placed him on administrative leave when a sexual abuse allegation became public through a lawsuit in 2002.Click Here For The Full Story......
